About Us

We are a city wide community located near the centre of the city. We cover the whole range of ages and have many different nationalities represented in our fellowship. Being a relatively large group of people we have diverse interests and ways of working out our Christian faith bringing a richness of experience which we value. We are a busy community - you will find out about our activities by exploring this website - but we try to make sure that worship and prayer is at the centre of all that we do. We aim to be a welcoming community whether you come to a service of worship or for some other activity or simply to enjoy our Meeting Place Cafe.
The Church seeks to maintain a strong evangelical witness and to establish the Lordship of Christ through preaching, and living, the Word of God. For many decades the Church has been strong in the areas of peace and social justice. There is also an on-going exploration and appreciation of the work of the Holy Spirit in people’s lives. In recent years prayer ministry, including that of healing, has been undertaken within the fellowship, and the prayer team has recently been retrained and recommissioned
Queen’s Road Baptist Church is a member church of the Baptist Union of Great Britain; a member of the Evangelical Alliance; and seeks to work with the various groupings of churches in the city.
