How we understand our faith

Queen's Road Baptist Church affirms, applies and explores God's saving work through the lordship of Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit.

The Purpose of this church is to worship God and to explore and apply what that means to personal life, Christian community and the world, and to reach out with the Good News of the life in Jesus that is available to all.  

Our Vision is to be a growing community, where Jesus is at the centre and everyone is valued.  

We believe our Mission from God over the next period is to build a healthy Christian church, which develops  

• Enthusiastic and relevant worship and Bible teaching;

• Strong and caring fellowship, especially through small groups;

• Personal commitment to become more like Jesus Christ through discipleship;

• The desire to serve in the church’s various activities and projects;

• A passion to communicate the good news of Christian faith, locally and globally; and 

• The ability to serve Christ and his world authentically in every aspect of our daily lives –  family, neighbourhood, work (paid and voluntary), education and leisure.
