Worship

As a church community, Worship is the central point of our life together (rather than simply another activity we engage in).  For God is the centre of all that we are and, as we come together to worship, we seek to express our praise and adoration to:

  • our Father God,
  • Jesus the Son, our Saviour and Lord, and
  • the Holy Spirit who enables our worship and our life together
Sunday Worship occurs at 10.30am and 6.30 pm - with some members of the congregation choosing to meeting to pray half an hour prior to the service. The services are usually between 1 hour and 1½ hours in length. A Creche and activities for children up to mid teenage are available during the morning service. We usually celebate Communion together on the first Sunday evening and the third Sunday morning of each month.

Refreshments are served after all services to enable people to spend time together and to welcome visitors.

Services have a wide variety of content around a biblically based sermon, drawing on different styles and musical traditions. We have a variety of musicians who bless the church both as a worship band and with the church organ, providing both traditional hymns and contemproary worship songs. Data projection is used as an aid to worship, providing song words, readings, video clips and PowerPoints in services.

The Church has a prayer ministry team members of which are available to pray and minister to those with needs following all services.
