Bible Society

David Spriggs is a church member and a former minister of the church.  David works for Bible Society.  After fifteen years fulltime, he has reduced his working week to three days now.   As Dean of Studies, David is responsible for developing relationships and partnerships with universities (often the Theology Departments or Religious Studies Departments ) . He is also involved with the Bible in TransMission (Bible Society's church leaders' journal) on the editorial board and manages the PhD grants committee. 

As Bible and Church consultant he provides expertise to Bible Society Staff, including YGTT  (the audio version of the New Testament) , LYFE, Bible Sunday and the  Sports Good News Bible and is involved in some major projects such as   h+ (making good sense of the Bible)  in the development and delivery.  He also represents Bible Society on groups such as  The Rejesus Board . David is also the commissioning Editor for Guidelines - Bible reading notes for church leaders published by BRF and a regular contributor to The Reader - the Journal for the 10,000 Anglican Readers (their lay ministers).  He is often away from QRBC on Sundays leading worship in other churches.  He publishes a prayer guide relating to his work. These are available at the church from the revolving leaflet rack near the door or regularly from Marilyn Roulston.
